In the energy industry, the achievement of First Steam is a milestone representing a system designed to withstand excessive forces surviving its first operational run. As a collaboration of two disciplinary councils, we the Fine Arts and the Science Councils of the Alberta Teachers Association, embark on this STEAM* powered journey to uncover the inner workings of life for our students. We hope to inspire courage and curiosity to see what lies beneath the technologies that enable us to glide through life effortlessly. We are also here to celebrate life and to ask each other tough questions. Have humans gone too far? It is our first and timely exploration together as educators.
